The Communications, Electrical, Electronic, Energy, Information, Postal, Plumbing and Allied Services Union of Australia (CEPU) has been fined $125,000 for making demands on Edison that it cease to acquire services from a non-union contractor.

The Federal Court found that this conduct involved aiding and abetting in contravention of section 45E and 45EA of the Trade Practices Act 1974 (which deals with arrangements affecting the supply or acquisition of goods and services).
