Our approach to servicing markets in which we do not have a full time office is a relationship driven approach with existing domestic law firms. We achieve this through partnering with these firms as international counsel and providing a ‘virtual office’ to service these markets through ‘flying in’ our team on a project-by-project basis until they are no longer required to be present locally.

We have applied this approach successfully on numerous projects. Our significant experience means we easily integrate with broad, cross-functional teams and able to adapt to any unique local requirements and/or work practices.

Some of the benefits of this model include:

Freehills’ strategy of the ‘virtual office’ means that our staff can provide service and gain access to our systems from any location – whether at home, offshore, at the client site or in the office. Our information technology systems are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, allowing our lawyers to meet your deadlines quickly and efficiently.

Freehills is currently acting for clients on the acquisition or development of significant energy/infrastructure projects on every continent in the world. This is in addition to over 30 years’ experience in Asia in which time we have established an extensive network of contacts with key industry players, governments and local law firms.

Our international work extends to the Middle East, where we regularly work on a range of projects.
