She has experience advising clients on patentability, prepares and prosecutes patent applications both in Australia and overseas, and assists in the management of patent portfolios.Rachel advises clients on patent infringement and validity, and is familiar with the Australian patent opposition procedure.
Rachel is also experienced in the registration of designs both in Australia and overseas.
Professional background
Rachel has a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Physics from Macquarie University, completing her thesis in the field of lasers and optical fibres.
Rachel also has a Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from The University of Melbourne and has spent time as an examiner of patents in the Australian Patent Office.
Rachel is a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand and is a Fellow of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia.
