Industry experience

Nicole specialises in the field of chemistry, in particular pharmaceuticals, polymers, ceramics and food technology.  Nicole drafts and prosecutes Australian and overseas patent applications. She is also involved in patent oppositions, extensions of term, patent portfolio management, patent searching and patent litigation.
 
Nicole has a Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law at the University of Melbourne and has worked at Freehills Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys for four years.

Professional background

Nicole received a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in organic chemistry from the University of Western Australia in 1995. In 2000 she was awarded a PhD in chemistry from the same institution. Her PhD studies were in the area of organic/organometallic chemistry.

Nicole is a member of The Royal Australian Chemical Institute, Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand and the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia.
