Terry McBride provides expert litigation and mediation advice. His wealth of experience includes contractual disputes, insurance insolvency and town planning and competition law.

Industry experience

Terry has had extensive involvement in commercial litigation, and in particular, contractual disputes and arbitrations.

He has acted for clients in a number of town planning appeals and land compensation and resumption claims.

Major matters which Terry has been involved in include:

  • professional negligence litigation involving builders and surveyors
  • successful participation, on behalf of clients, in Supreme Court mediations
  • insurance defence work
  • town planning litigation
  • disciplinary advice for the Surveyors and Architects Board
  • contractual disputes
  • trade practices advice.

Professional background

Terry is a graduate of the University of Queensland and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degrees. He was admitted to practice in Queensland in 1988. Terry was also admitted to practice in New South Wales and is a solicitor of the High Court of Australia.
