Freehills enjoys success at South-East Asia’s top legal awards ceremony
07 June 2006Freehills’ expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and equity markets has once again been celebrated, this time at the 2006 Asia Legal Business (ALB) Deals of the Year Awards ceremony, which took place in Singapore on Friday, 2 June 2006.
Nominated in four deal categories, Freehills came away with the award for Singapore’s M&A Deal of the Year for its work for Colony Capital—Raffles, South-East Asia’s M&A Deal of the Year award for Adaro Indonesia, and the South-East Asia Deal of the Year award, again for its work on Adaro Indonesia.
In addition, a deal in which Freehills was heavily involved, the Indocoal Exports deal, was awarded the South-East Asia Structured Finance & Securitisation Deal of the Year.
In attendance on the night and accepting the awards on Freehills’ behalf was John Dick, partner in Freehills’ Singapore office.

The ALB South-East Asia Deals of the Year Awards is organised annually by Asian Legal Business Magazine and recognises and promotes outstanding professional achievement throughout South-East Asia.
