In addition, the firm was highly commended in the Corporate & Commercial, Insolvency, and Litigation & Dispute Resolution Awards categories.
In response to the firm’s success on the evening, Freehills’ CEO and managing partner Gavin Bell said the results reflect the outstanding calibre of Freehills’ employees and the firm’s commitment to its core values. He also said the results are attributable to the calibre and success of Freehills’ clients.
‘The night capped off a remarkable year where Freehills achieved considerable growth in a mature market. A period during which we successfully implemented an array of exciting and innovative programs and initiatives, all focused around people and clients,’ said Gavin.
Such initiatives include: the Commerciality Program which ensures Freehills’ service and advice meets clients’ individual business needs; a leading-edge document redesign initiative to ensure all communication with clients is clear, relevant and actionable; and a rigorous focus on client feedback and performance measures.
People-focused initiatives include the collaborative development of a new vision and guiding values, and an ongoing Women at Freehills program designed to increase the number of women in the partnership, and enhance our women lawyers’ career experience.
Summarising Freehills’ success at the annual awards night, Gavin commented; ‘Our people work in cohesive teams with our clients to solve issues and deliver exceptional outcomes. Awards are not what drives us to achieve, however such recognition provides confidence and reinforces our client service standards and the quality of our people.’
